Gadbad Icecream - A Special Icecream of Karnataka



Gadbad Ice cream is the most delicious icecream you find in South Karnataka. It is made with the different flavours of icecreams, fruits and mixed nuts. This special dessert is always served in th large glasses and with a long spoon so that you can really dig your spoon deep into the layers of ice creams.
The special of Gadbad icecream is not eaten layer by layer. You just have to dig your long spoon and make sure you get all kinds of flavours, fruits and nuts in a single spoon.



INGREDIENTS

For Serving 2 people

  • Mango Icecream - 2 scoops
  • Strawberry Icecream - 2 scoops
  • Vanilla Icecream  - 2 scoops
  • Mango pieces - 1/2 cup ( you can any fruits like apple,banana,pineapple,strawberry)
  • Strawberry jelly - 1/2 cup ( using store brought packet )
  • Toasted mix nuts - 1/2 cup (cashewnuts,almonds, raisins)
  • Truity fruity - 2 tbsp (optional)
  • Cherries - To garnish




    PREPARATION
    • Prepare the strawberry jelly as per the instructions given on the packets.
    • Toast the nuts on low flame. You add 1/2 tsp of ghee while toasting the mixed nuts.

    • I had prepared Strawberry Icecream at home. In the hurry I forgot to take the clicks.But very soon I will be posting it.
    • I used the store brought vanilla icecream.
    • Cut  the mango.
    • Keep the all the ingredients ready.
    • At the time of serving. Take the two glasses and lets quickly start to make the layers of all the ingredients.
    • First add 2 tbsp of  toasted nuts, then scoop of vanilla icecream, then few mango pieces,then strawberry icecream, then 2 tbsp of strawberry jelly,then scoop of mango icecream and finally garnish with red and cute cherry.
    • Serve immediately.

      Ohh !! Sory, not in every part of the world people cheer up for summers.. But its nice sunny and warm here, so a good opp to have this ice cream, gotta to for the Grocery shopping this eve itself :P
