  1. To get admission into most foreign universities, graduates need to prove their business aptitude to clear Gmat Entrance Exam. Good overseas MBA programs use the GMAT/GRE score as part of the evaluation criteria for admission.

  2. It's also harder for the schools to compare with the GRE scores, though ETS seems to be doing a good job of changing that. Still, at least for now, the GMAT seems to be the test for people who are looking only at the MBA.
