Grape Sorbet

Sorbet is the frozen dessert made from fruit puree ,typically which are in soury taste. The name "sorbet" originates  from Italian verb sorbire which means "to eat and drink at the same time". This sorbet is the best treat on the hot summer days  So lets enjoy......
INGREDIENTS
  • Red grapes - 1 pound
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • White sugar - 1/3 cup ( you can add more if you need)
  • Lemon  - 1 big
  • Mint leaves for garnishing

PREPARATION
  • Add grapes and water  into the pot and bring it to boil. Stir well and mashed the grapes  as much you can, this will help to release the juice.
  • Using the cheese cloth or any mesh strainer, drain the juice from the cooked grape mixture, pressing to get as much of juice from cooked grapes. You will get about 1&1/2  cups (depends on type of grapes).
  • Now add sugar and lemon juice to the grape juice.Stir till sugar completely dissolves in the juice.
  • Pour the grape juice in the container and freeze it.
  • When it is 70% done, blend the mixture and again freeze it.Repeat the process again by blending the mixture and again freezing..( I repeated this process for 3 times).
  • Lastly freeze the sorbet till it becomes firm.
  • If you have icecream maker, process in it as per manufacturer's instructions. then freeze till the sorbet is firm.
  • When done scoop the sorbet in small bowl and garnish with mint leaf.
