Grilled Chicken Kababs



Chicken Kababs is one of the popular non vegetarian appetizer.  Kabab is a piece of meat, marinated in flavorful Indian spices along with thick yogurt and then grilled in an oven. These chicken kababs can also be grilled on charcoal fire or on the stove top. The marination of the chicken pieces plays an important role in making these soft and flavorful kababs. These appetizers can be served with chicken biryani or in wraps and sandwiches. The taste of kababs are so flavorful, you do need any extra dipping. Otherwise these can be served with green chutney.

 INGREDIENTS

  • Boneless Chicken Pieces – 250 Gms
  • Thick yogurt – 4 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1&1/2 tbsp
  • Red chilly powder – 1 tsp (I used Kashmiri red chilly powder)
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder – ¾ tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp

 METHOD

  • Wash and drain the chicken pieces completely. Ensure that chicken pieces are free from moisture. If needed you can pat dry chicken pieces using kitchen towel.
  • Mix all the ingredients into a bowl. Marinate the chicken pieces. Rub each chicken pieces into the marination for few seconds.
  • Cover the marinated chicken pieces and keep them into the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Arrange the chicken pieces on the skewers. Place it on the baking tray.
  • Preheat the oven at 200 deg Celsius.
  • Place the baking tray in the oven for 15 minutes.
  • Flip the kababs on other side and grill for another 15 minutes. When done, take out the kababs out of the oven and brush the chicken kababs with some butter or oil.
  • Here we go grilled chicken kababs are ready to serve.
