INGREDIENTS
- Chicken boneless pieces - 1 lb
- Onion slices - 1cup
- Tomato -1 small
- Rice -1&1/2 cup
- coconut thick milk - 1/4 cup
- Green chilly paste-1/2 tsp
- Ginger paste -1/2 tsp
- Garlic paste -1/2 tsp
- Garam masala -1 tsp
- tumeric powder -1/2 tsp
- coriander powder -1 tsp
- Red chilly powder -1 tsp
- Cilantro - a handful
- Oil - 2tbsp
- Cloves - 4
- cinnamom stick - 1 inch
- bay leaves -2
- salt to taste
PREPARATION
Pressure cooker method
- Place the cooker on the medium flame and add oil into it.
- When oil heats up, add cloves,cinnamom stick and bay leaves.Fry for a minte.
- Add onion slices and fry till light brown.
- Add all the paste and dry masala powder.Stir well
- Add chicken pieces , tomato pieces and cilantro.Cook for about 2 minutes.
- Add washed rice and thick coconut milk.Add salt and stir well.
- Add required amount of water ie( 1cup rice:2 cups water).
- Close the lid and wait for 3 whistles.
- Chicken Biryani is ready to serve hot.
